I Do Not Know What's Next!
Updated: Mar 11, 2019
What should I do with my life?
One of the most difficult questions you’ll ever hear.
This question is uncomfortable, worrying, and brings the worst in people.
If you are asking what to do in your life, it implies that you do not know. And not knowing is shameful and weak.
So don’t ask!
You should know.
You must know.
If you don’t, then you are lost.
If you don’t, then you need help.
Speaking of which, I…
I do not know.
Yes, I do not know what I am going to do next in my life.
My old story is over.
I am now in the space between stories,
That space where nothing happens.
That space where my main question is:
What should I NOT do with my life?
I need silence in my life.
I need a space to just be,
To connect to my intuition,
To be able to see, hear and feel what’s already here.
So, let me tell you what I know…
I know that I don’t know.
And I know that I am happy not knowing.
I know that what I once knew, is now gone.
And that what I now know, will soon be gone too!
My old life.
A place to go to every day.
Something to do every day.
I know that what’s coming will not come, until I clear out the space for it.
I am now cleaning my life from what no longer serves me.
I am peeling off layers and layers of knowing.
Back to basics.
Back to where life started.
Back to silence.
And back to stillness.
For anyone who is living in the space between stories,
For anyone who just wrapped up one chapter and looking forward to the next,
For people who ended their studies, a job, or a relationship, moved locations, or ended any chapter in their life,
It’s time to allow yourself to be okay with where you are now.
It’s time to forgive your past and let it go.
It’s time to navigate the world as you are supposed to,
As the ancient man once did,
Not distracted by the noise of society.
Not rushing to their next steps.
It’s time for you,
To be okay with,
The next chapter of your story will reveal itself,
Only when you are still and loving that space of not knowing.
